Child Safety Standards

Effective date: May 28, 2026 · Last updated: May 28, 2026

Swipemapp has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page sets out our published standards, detection mechanisms, reporting tools, and response procedures.

1. Our Commitment

The safety of children is a non-negotiable priority at Swipemapp. We are committed to maintaining a platform that is completely free from child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or facilitates harm to minors.

This commitment extends to all content types on the platform — photos, videos, messages, captions, comments, and profile information. There are no exceptions.

2. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on Swipemapp and will result in immediate removal and permanent account termination:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
  • Sexual content involving anyone under the age of 18
  • Content that sexualises, objectifies, or fetishises minors
  • Grooming behaviour, solicitation, or sexual communication directed at minors
  • Content that facilitates trafficking, exploitation, or abuse of children
  • Sharing, linking to, or promoting CSAM hosted elsewhere

These prohibitions apply to all users globally, regardless of local laws or cultural norms.

3. Detection & Removal

Swipemapp operates a multi-layer system to detect and remove prohibited content proactively and in response to reports:

  • Automated content moderation applied to uploaded photos and videos at the point of upload
  • Hash-matching technology to identify known CSAM against established databases
  • Human review of flagged content by trained moderators
  • Immediate removal of content confirmed to violate our child safety standards
  • Permanent suspension of accounts found to have uploaded or distributed CSAM

Removal decisions are not subject to appeal where CSAM is confirmed. All confirmed cases are escalated for reporting to the relevant authorities.

4. Reporting

Every user can report content or behaviour they believe violates our child safety standards directly within the app. Reports can be submitted on any post, video, message, comment, or user profile.

To report within the app:

  • Tap the three-dot menu on any post, video, or comment
  • Select "Report" and choose the relevant category
  • For accounts, visit the profile and tap "Report"
  • All reports are reviewed by our moderation team

You can also report directly to us by email at safety@swipemapp.com. Reports involving child safety are treated as the highest priority and reviewed immediately.

5. How We Respond

Upon receiving a report or detection alert involving potential CSAE, we take the following steps:

  • The reported content is immediately restricted from public view pending review
  • A trained moderator reviews the content as a priority
  • Confirmed violations result in immediate content removal and account suspension
  • Evidence is preserved in accordance with legal obligations
  • The incident is escalated for reporting to the appropriate authority
  • The reporting user receives confirmation that action has been taken

6. Law Enforcement & Regulatory Cooperation

Swipemapp reports confirmed CSAM to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required under applicable law.

We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in the United Kingdom and internationally in the investigation and prosecution of child sexual abuse and exploitation. This includes preserving and providing account data and content in response to valid legal requests.

We do not notify users who are under investigation for CSAE offences that their account or content is being reviewed in connection with a law enforcement request.
