How do I create a Swipemapp account?

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, open it, and tap "Sign up." You can sign up with your email address, Google account, or Apple ID.

How do I change my username or display name?

Go to your profile, tap the Edit button, and update your username or display name. Usernames must be unique.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly in the app or by emailing us. See the full guide for what gets deleted and how long it takes.

Can I make my account private?

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy → Private Account. When your account is private, only approved followers can see your posts.

Posts & Content

What file types can I upload?

You can upload JPEG and PNG photos, and MP4 and MOV videos. Videos up to [limit] are supported. We automatically optimise your media for the best quality.

Why is my post under review?

All content is reviewed by our automated moderation system. If your post is marked as Under Review, it may take up to 24 hours to process. If it was incorrectly flagged, contact support.

How do I tag people in my posts?

When creating a post, tap the Tag People option. You can search for and tag multiple users, even across multiple slides.

How do I delete a post?

Tap the three-dot menu on any of your posts and select Delete. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Messaging

Why aren't my messages sending?

Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, close and reopen the app. Messages that fail to send will show a retry option.

How do I send a voice message?

In any chat, tap and hold the microphone icon to record a voice note. Release to send. You'll need to grant microphone permission the first time.

How do I create a group chat?

In the Messages tab, tap the compose icon and select multiple people to start a group conversation.

Can I delete sent messages?

You can delete messages from your view by long-pressing a message and selecting Delete. Deletion removes the message from both sides of the conversation.

Map & Events

Why isn't my location showing on the map?

Make sure you've granted location permission. Go to your device Settings → Swipemapp → Location → Allow While Using App.

How do I create an event?

Tap the + icon on the Map screen, select New Event, fill in the details (title, date, location, description), and invite friends.

How do I save a place?

On the map, tap any location or post, then select Save to Map. Saved places appear as pins on your personal map view.

Privacy & Safety

How do I block someone?

Go to the user's profile, tap the three-dot menu, and select Block. Blocked users cannot see your profile, posts, or send you messages.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Tap the three-dot menu on any post, comment, or message and select Report. Our team reviews all reports.

How can I control who sees my content?

Set your account to private (Settings → Privacy) or remove individual followers from your approved list.
